Visit the Beatrix Potter Galley for a new interactive exhibition telling the story behind Beatrix Potter’s creation of Peter Rabbit from his first appearance in a letter of 1893 to her own privately printed first edition of ‘The Tale of Peter Rabbit’ in 1901 & 1902.
For the first time the letter, together with all 44 original ink drawings for the book, proofs and an original first edition copy from the National Trust’s own collection will be on display. Activity sheets and ‘book corners’ for children will help them discover more about Beatrix Potter and her stories.
