Tea with Peter Rabbit

19th February, 3pm

Come and enjoy a scrumptious tea party with Peter Rabbit and guest of honour, “Beatrix Potter.” There will be cakes and sandwiches galore, stories and a chance to explore the World of Beatrix Potter! Fun for all the family.

The Great Peter Rabbit Easter Egg Hunt

31st March, 10am - until all the eggs are found

The north of England’s biggest Easter Egg hunt. 100 specially commissioned eggs hidden in the countryside across the whole of Cumbria. Free to enter and you could win a very special prize!

Tea with Peter Rabbit

2nd May, 1pm

Be a part of National Share-a-Story Month. Come and enjoy a scrumptious tea party with Peter Rabbit. Bring along books you want to swap and vote for the story you would like to hear read by “Beatrix Potter.” There will be cakes and sandwiches galore and a chance to explore the World of Beatrix Potter! Fun for all the family.

Great British Sandwich Week

10th - 16th May (all day events)

Come and try one of our special sandwiches, inspired by your favourite character. Sample a Benjamin Bunny Bun or a Peter Rabbit Sandwich all using great ingredients grown in our own kitchen garden.

Plant a plant with Peter

22nd May, 11am - 4pm

Peter Rabbit will be on hand to help you plant your own seed. Take it home and help it grow - you could win a prize! Free event for every child.

Big safari

22th June, 11am - 4pm

Like Mrs. Tittlemouse, you can come face-to-face with a host of bugs and creepy-crawlies in this event to celebrate the 100th anniversary of The Tale of Mrs Tittlemouse. You can also have your face painted like your favourite creature and try the insect cakes in the Tea Room.

Strawberry Fair

3rd & 4th July (all day event)

Timmy Willie, the country-mouse loves strawberries and so do we. Come and try some of the mouth-watering strawberry based desserts, salads and ice creams on the menu in the Tea Room.

Tea with Peter Rabbit

Come and enjoy a scrumptious tea party with Peter Rabbit and guest of honour, “Beatrix Potter.” There will be cakes and sandwiches galore, games, stories and a chance to explore the World of Beatrix Potter! Fun for all the family.

British Food Fortnight

19th September - 4th October (all day event)

Using produce from our own Kitchen Garden and inspired by Beatrix Potter’s tales. Try a classic pie complete with a patty pan or enjoy Blackberry Bread and Butter Pudding, like Flopsy, Mopsy and Cottontail.

Halloween in the Garden

30th - 31st October (all day event)

The Peter Rabbit Garden will be aglow with pumpkin lanterns of all shapes and sizes, have your face painted like your favourite pumpkin and try some our pumpkin treats in the Tea Room. Children can enjoy the fun and games for free if they visit in costume.
